Los Cerritos Wetlands is on the border of LA and Orange County. Once a thriving wetlands consisting of tidal salt marshes, lagoons, bays and alkali meadows where the San Gabriel River flows into the Pacific Ocean, it is now classified as a degraded wetlands. Access is very limited as most of the wetlands is privately owned and used for oil extraction and processing operations.
